“There’s a vulnerability, an intimacy, and an intensity in my voice on this album that I haven’t heard from myself ever before,” lead vocalist Jared Leto shared in a recent interview.
Thirty Seconds to Mars claimed worldwide renown with their sophomore studio album, A Beautiful Lie. It featured fan-favorite hit “The Kill,” which won a Kerrang! Award for Best Single in 2008. After this critical success, the band recorded This Is War and Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams, two multi-platinum albums that showcased Billboard Alternative and Rock Airplay hits “Kings and Queens,” "Closer to the Edge," “Up in the Air,” and “City of Angels.”
The concert’s first guest, AFI, crashed the punk rock scene with gothic melodies and iconic Alternative Airplay tunes such as “Love Like Winter” and “Miss Murder” from their Billboard 200 no. 1 album December underground.
Second guest artist Poppy, on the other hand, is a GRAMMY-nominated YouTube sensation who dropped jaws with her chaotic discography, which includes heavy metal album I Disagree and critically acclaimed grunge-pop album Flux.
And lastly, we have indie rock artist KennyHoopla, who is also the promising new-wave slash dance-punk upstart behind “Estella” and "How Will I Rest in Peace if I'm Buried by a Highway?," two Top 8 singles from Billboard Alternative Airplay.
As the state’s leading hotspot for alt-rock festivals, the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre presents the perfect stage for our headlining band’s Saturday show on August 24! Thanks to cutting-edge lighting and sound systems, the 20k-capacity venue projects an exhilarating concert atmosphere, supported by splendid sightlines and friendly staff.
