2025 Year in review! Midflorida Credit Union Amphitheatre 2025 highlights!

This 2025, concert fanatics were given the most incredible aural and visual treat at the magnificent outdoor venue, the Midflorida Credit Union Amphihtheatre! This incredible concert and festival space was packed with the most amazing showcases! From world class artists, to giant festivals, and family gatherings, the amphitheatre was totally full of life! Considered as the most popular outdoor concert destination in Tampa, the Midflorida Credit Union Amphitheatre was graced by some of the biggest names in music! We’re talking groundbreaking pop stars, earth shattering metal bands, timeless personalities, sensational country stars, and adrenaline rusing festivals packed with awesome performers! There was definitely no shortage of shows this 2025 and we’re here to give you the lowdown of the most amazing shows that hit this venue from spring all the way to fall! MAY

Spring opened with a literal bang this 2025. For starters, the season began with a thrilling performance from Grammy winning EDM powerhouse RUFUS DEL SOL. The Australian trio lit up the venue with their mind blowing visuals comprising cutting edge lasers and strobes that definitely sent fans into an exhilarating trip. The show also served non stop energy – from heart thumping deep house to trance-fantastic ambient and house staples. It’s definitely the perfect way to start Midflorida Credit Union Amphihteatre’s concert season. Besides EDM, the venue also hosted a plethora of amazing rocks shows. The amphitheater greeted the month of May with Maynard James Keenan’s magnificent triple headlining spectacle featuring his three bands PRIMUS, PUSCIFER, and A PERFECT CIRCLE, all under the billing of the highly coveted Sessanta V 2.0 Tour. 

Two days later, a timeless retro rock rager filled the venue as famed punk rock legend BILLY IDOL along with JOAN JETT AND THE BLACKHEARTS delivered their astounding sets on the big stage. The month also saw the earth shattering performance of 2000s rock powerhouses BREAKING BENJAMIN and STAIND on May 13. Meanwhile, PIERCE THE VEIL’S I Can’t Hear You Tour featuring SLEEPING WITH SIRENS and DAISY GRENADE. Before the month ended, pop icon Halsey also celebrated the 10th anniversary tour Back to the Badlands on May 24. Lastly, the month ended with classic rock icons Styx together with Kevin Cronin and Don Felder on May 31. 

JUNE

If you thought May was awesome, wait til you learn about how June was rocking non stop with amazing performances from world class artists. Country music heavyweight Dierks Bentley opened the month on June 6 with thrilling supporting performances from Zach Top and The Band Loula. The Broken Branches Tour was a multi city amphitheater run and the influx of Bentley’s gargantuan fanbase required the country superstar to book only large amphitheaters for the year 2025. Midflorida Credit Union Amphitheatre was the perfect setting for this thanks to its ability to accommodate 20,000 fans at a time. 

From country to indie rock, the venue showed great flexibility for its ability to accommodate all types of shows. On June 19, indie rock icons GLASS ANIMALS came to town with the epic Tour of Earth, which served 20 shows in North America, three of which were in Florida. The band’s stop in Tampa was definitely the biggest Florida show they delivered that year. The very next day, the venue welcomed pop punk sensation AVRIL LAVIGNE as she delivered her highly awaited Greatest Hits Tour. June definitely was an action packed month as the venue hosted a variety of shows and genres, including  an ultra dynamic metal festival, Summer of Loud Tour. The head bang worthy rager delivered performances from PARKWAY DRIVE, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, I PREVAIL, and BEARTOOTH.

JULY

In July, there was pretty much something for everybody. The venue definitely serve events catering to every music taste. The month opened with a coveted showdown by reggae rock icons STICK FIGURE, who was in town to promote their Island Holiday Summer Tour. Meanwhile, THE OFFSPRING was in town the following week with JIMMY EAT WORLD and NEW FOUND GLORY. Early 2000s punk definitely made a part as these spectacular bands brought nostalgic action packed hits. From 2000s punk to 2000s pop rock, the venue was definitely the melting pot for throwback trips. On July 13, BIG TIME RUSH came to town for the In Real Life World Tour. The band delivered timeless pop staples like “ Big Time Rush,” “Windows Down,” and “Boyfriend.” It was a fully packed setlist as the boy band delivered hits from their different eras. Speaking of throwback, the ultimate nostalgic show would absolutely be the outstanding showcase featuring legendary rock band TOTO. The band delivered the biggest arena rock revival of the year and they also brought along awesome special guests CHRISTOPHER CROSS and MEN AT WORK. Lastly, the month paved the way for rap fanatics with great tastes as July 25 saw the arrival of platinum selling artist RUSS, BIG SEAN, and SABRINA CLAUDIO.

AUGUST 

To say August was action packed is an understatement. The month welcomes a ton of performers. On August 4, the ground shook with the head bang worthy rager featuring VOLBEAT, HALESTORM, and THE GHOST INSIDE. Two days later, the ground shook even more with shock rap rock duo SUICIDEBOYS who were in town to deliver the seventh edition of their world famous Grey Day Tour.  A few days later, things were a bit more tamed but still totally fun as the kiddos arrive this vast concert space to enjoy the Kidz Bop Live, a thrilling family friendly concert featuring Billboard Hot 100 hits with rewritten lyrics to make it kid-appropriate. It’s a fully production with all the amazing lights and sound that one would get from a regular adult concert! So this time, it’s a thrilling spectacle for the little ones and their parents! August also welcome performances from KESHA and SCISSOR SISTERS, LITTLE BIG TOWN, AHSLEY MCBRYDE, and CARTER FAITH. Another show that shook the foundation was mega rock band FALLLING IN REVERSE who declared that God is a Weapon with their latest tour. Singer Ronnie Radke and company definitely sent fans into a head spinning frenzy with hits like “God is Weapon,” “Ronald,” and “Zombified.” Lastly, punk fanatics had an awesome reason to visit the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre thanks to the outstanding show featuring BLINK 182 and ALKALINE TRIO. The wacky, upbeat, and humorous lyrics from the 2000s punk rock band meets the dark, doom, and damnation of Alkalaine Trio’s themes on this fateful evening.

SEPTEMBER

Fall season didn’t disappoint as September brought in a banging line up. The month welcomed prolific chart topping phenom THOMAS RHETT. The Grammy nominated country icon belted hits like “Die a Happy Man,” “Boot,” and “Make We Wanna.” Country music was definitely a staple this month as HARDY also brought in his Country! Country! Tour. On September 6, pop rock and metal showdown featuring COHEED AND CAMBRIA and TAKING BACK SUNDAY. Speaking of pop punk, the month also welcomed raging performances from A DAY TO REMEMBER and YELLOWCARD. Before the month ended, hip-hop legends BONE THUGS N HARMONY delivered a timeless, nostalgic rap bonanza.

OCTOBER

Midflorida Credit Union Amphitheatre became the home of country music heavy weight JASON ALDEAN. The Full Throttle Tour sent the country superstar to 31 major cities and all these shows required pretty large venues. Thankfully, the Midflorida Credit Union Amphitheatre provides ample space for the massive Aldean Army. The show also featured performances from NATE SMITH and RAELYNN. Punk and nu metal meet on the fateful day of October 4th as PAPA ROACH and RISE AGAINST join forces to celebrate their 25-year legacies. Lastly, the month ended with a groundbreaking performance from TWENTY ONE PILOTS.

REVIEWS

The shows were intense, the facilities were amazing, and the venue definitely delivered highly memorable spectacles that fans can cherish for a long, long time. Take it from the venue’s countless happy customers who checked out their favorite artists over at this joint. Mallory from Florida shared how her upgraded tickets gave her the best concert experience when she checked out Yellowcard, “We got the ultra premier parking and there was clear directions where to go, took us less than 3 min to park. We upgraded to VIP club lounge and had our own entrance and exit – that took less than 3 min to get scanned in. That was worth every penny. You have your own ac bathrooms, bars, lounge area with servers to order food, complimentary popcorn and water and a concierge to hold your merch.”

Meanwhile, Toni T. from Nashville had the most ecstatic time thanks to the venue’s many facilities and features, “The parking process is very organized, with orderly entry and attendants guiding everyone to the venue. Vendors sell various alcoholic drinks, sodas, and several waters. My friend found her soda to taste bad and the vendor offered her another beverage free of charge. Several vendors offer basic concert foods.” 

Sandra B. from Jacksonville has made this venue her favorite entertainment destination, “It was an excellent concert and the venue had several good places to eat and drink that were reasonably priced.” Lastly, Tom V. from Lake Alfred, Florida mentioned, “The venue is pretty nice to see a concert at, one you’re inside. Good sight lines and acoustics.”

The 20,000 capacity venue at the Florida State Fairgrounds is Tampa’s largest outdoor amphitheatre.
