The “All My Life” rapper took to social media to announce his highly-anticipated summer trek, titled Sorry for the Drought Tour. The outing will bring special guests like Kodak Black and NLE Choppa! Last year, Lil Durk successfully completed his 2022 trek titled The 7220 Tour. The critically-acclaimed run highlighted the rapper’s seventh studio effort, which spawned the massive hits “Pissed Me Off,” “Broadway Girls,” and “Ahhh Ha.” The album was Lil Durk’s first record to top both the Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. Apart from the U.S., 7220 also made waves across the world, hitting the charts in over ten countries.

The 2022 album follows several predecessors, including Durk’s breakthrough debut album, Remember My Name. The album peaked at number 14 on the Billboard 200 and number 2 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. the effort featured Dirk’s first entry on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs “Like Me,” which ranked number 43.

His sophomore studio album, Lil Durk 2x, was dropped in 2018. The record featured performances from several renowned hip-hop artists, such as Ty Dolla Sign, Young Thug, Dej Loaf, Yo Gotti, Future, and Kid Ink. The album, which entered the Billboard 200 at number 29, featured the platinum-selling hit “My Beyonce.”

In 2020, Lil Durk made his debut on the Billboard Hot 100 with the massive hit “Viral Moment.” the single, spawned from his fifth album, Just Cause Y’all Waited 2, peaked at number 91. The song was later certified gold in the U.S. The momentous breakthrough was followed by another Hot 100 hit, “3 Headed Goat.” The platinum-selling single, featuring rappers Lil Baby and Polo G, peaked at number 43 on the Hot 100 and number 15 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. That same year, Lil Durk earned two Grammy nominations for participating in Drake’s “Laugh Now Cry Later. He would later earn another Grammy nod when Kanye West’s latest album, Donda, was nominated for Album of the Year in 2022.

Prolific rapper Kodak Black recently came out with his latest effort, Back for Everything. The 2022 album became his second-highest charting effort, peaking at number 2 on the Billboard 200 and topping the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Back for Everything featured the Hot 100 hits “I Wish” and “Usain Boo.” Meanwhile, the album moved on to sell over 500,000 copies and was certified gold in the U.S.

Newbie rapper NLE Choppa made waves in 2020 with his debut album, Top Shotta. The record entered Billboard 200’s Top 10 and spawned the platinum-selling hits “Camelot” and “Shotta Flow 3x.” Released in 2019, “Camelot” is the 20-year-old rapper’s first entry on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 37. After this incredible breakout hit, Choppa moved on to dropping several more Hot 100 singles, like “Famous Heroes,” “Go Stupid,” “Shotta Flow 5,” “Slut Me Out,” and more. This 2023, he dropped four singles, including “Ain’t gonna Answer,” from his sophomore effort, Cottonwood 2.
